Evaluation of Building Models

چکیده
This paper presents a knowledge-based approach for automatic 3D building reconstruction. By combining the aerial image analysis with information from GIS maps and specific knowledge of the buildings the complexity of the building reconstruction process can be greatly reduced. The building reconstruction process is described as a tree search in the space of possible building hypotheses. To guide the search of the tree an evaluation function based on mutual information is defined. This evaluation function allows comparison of different building hypotheses obtained by applying a fitting algorithm. The mutual information is computed directly from the image gradients. The performance of the 3D reconstruction is improved by incorporating geometric constraints.

متن کاملEvaluation of Torsional Single Story Structure During Earthquake According to Canadian provision
In this article, we tried to emphasis in how the range of torsionally stiff and flexible single story buildings works. The designed base was according to provisions of the Canadian standard, 2005 NBCC. The behavior of nonlinear dynamic time history of eight building models subjected to seven horizontal bi-directional ground motions compatible with design spectra are investigated. These models c...

Summary In this study, the seismic performance of hexagrid structures which are composed of horizontal and vertical hexagrid by using a transitional story, has been investigated. To this end, 10 models of 50-story hexagrid structures were designed. 9 models with horizontal hexagrid cells which transited to vertical cells using a transitional story, and a model of completely horizontal hexagrid ...
متن کاملInfluence of Seismic Pounding on RC Buildings with and without Base Isolation System Subject to Near-Fault Ground Motions
Building pounding occurs between two adjacent buildings with small gap or without sufficient separation distance. It leads to damage buildings during earthquake due to impact. Many researchers have investigated building pounding based on impact force reduction and energy dissipation increase, when two buildings collide with each other. In numerical investigations, using specific link element, i...
متن کاملA Study of Dynamic Characteristics of a Multistory Building Using Ambient Vibration Tests (TECHNICAL NOTE)
Dynamic characteristics of a typical multistory building in Iran have been studied in two different stages of building construction, using ambient vibration tests. Finite element models have also been used to determine these characteristics and to verify test results. The results indicated the agreements and also differences between conventional theoretical models and the behaviour of real stru...
